Job description
Role Summary
This is a field-based Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) position focused on hyperscale data centers. The role involves managing the entire QA/QC program from project initiation to final handover, ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The QA/QC Manager will coordinate inspections, handle non-conformance reports, and act as the main point of contact for quality matters between the site team and the client's representative. This position requires frequent travel and adherence to a set schedule.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the approved site QC plan throughout the project lifecycle, from kick-off to handover.
- Develop quality assurance procedures, create detailed inspection and test plans, and ensure all site operations adhere to relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate all quality inspections with subcontractors and vendors, including incoming material inspections.
- Verify that technical documentation is up-to-date and that all quality-related activities meet established standards.
- Participate actively in both internal and external site audits.
- Manage the compilation and completion of all QC documentation for as-built handover, working with the QC turnover engineer.
- Distribute pertinent QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
- Complete and coordinate the approval process for QC technical submittals submitted to the client.
- Control all non-conformance reports, issue site quality control instructions, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Liaise with the client's representative on all quality-related issues.
- Lead weekly QA/QC site meetings with subcontractor QC staff.
- Collaborate with the site construction manager on all quality matters.
- Review client specifications and provide necessary training to site QC inspectors.
Work Conditions
- This is a site-based role involving regular exposure to operational mechanical parts and electrical systems.
- Extended working hours and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
