Role Overview
Kachema Meat Supplies Ltd is seeking a careful and driven Quality Assurance Officer to join its team in Lusaka, based at the factory. This role suits someone who cares deeply about food safety, product quality, and ongoing process improvement, and who is also willing to support retail and marketing activities when needed.
Quality Assurance Duties
- Track production activities to confirm that food safety and quality requirements are being met.
- Carry out regular inspections and assess products for compliance.
- Make sure GMP, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards are followed at all times.
- Look into quality-related problems and propose corrective measures.
- Keep accurate quality documentation and compile inspection findings.
- Support regulatory checks and internal audit activities.
- Help train team members on food safety and quality practices.
Retail and Marketing Support
- Work with the Retail & Marketing Manager on product introductions and promotional initiatives.
- Perform scheduled quality checks at retail locations.
- Observe product display, freshness, and merchandising compliance.
- Gather customer feedback and share reports with management.
- Assist with market visits, sampling, and promotional efforts as needed.
