Role overview
Concorde is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to become part of its core software development group. The team is focused on improving Concorde’s full product suite that supports customers working under Department of Transportation compliance requirements. In this agile Scrum environment, the QA Analyst will share responsibility for validating software thoroughly before each release.
This role follows Eastern Standard Time business hours so day-to-day work stays aligned with the main team schedule.
What you will do
- Work closely with product, development, and other cross-functional partners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Create, document, and run test cases with Zephyr or a comparable test management platform.
- Carry out manual testing across web, mobile, and API-based functionality.
- Log, manage, and follow up on defects in JIRA or similar tracking tools.
- Take part in Agile meetings and rituals, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Help keep test documentation current and support the maintenance of regression test suites.
- Support ongoing improvements to QA workflows, standards, and practices.
- Begin learning test automation fundamentals with support from senior teammates.
- Stay engaged, inquisitive, and ready to pick up new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.
- Estimate the testing effort needed for functionality described in Scrum user stories.
- Test completed user stories carefully to confirm they meet the agreed acceptance criteria.
- Work with internal users to reproduce reported issues and clearly document findings for developers.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in software testing or a closely related area.
- Solid understanding of testing approaches such as black-box, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine interest in developing QA skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools, and processes.
- Experience creating precise, well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Ability to design positive and negative scenarios, as well as functional and integration tests.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with automated testing tools is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is preferred, with MS SQL Server considered an advantage.

This is a full-time onsite position in the United States. The work schedule is aligned to Eastern Standard Time business hours.
