Job summary
Largeton Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst in Denver, Colorado. The role focuses on planning and carrying out software testing activities, validating product quality, supporting defect resolution, and helping improve QA processes and automation coverage. This position is part-time and requires on-site presence in Denver.
Test planning and strategy
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts using business and technical requirements as the foundation.
- Set testing goals, define scope, choose test approaches, and outline deliverables.
- Make sure all functional and non-functional areas receive thorough test coverage.
Test execution and quality validation
- Run both manual and automated test scripts to check functionality, reliability, performance, and overall system behavior.
- Track application behavior against requirements and confirm that outputs meet quality expectations.
Defect management and resolution support
- Find, record, monitor, and manage defects across the software lifecycle.
- Carry out root cause analysis and work with developers to speed up defect fixes.
Process improvement and QA standards
- Suggest corrective and preventive actions to strengthen quality assurance practices.
- Build, update, and improve QA policies, standards, and procedures.
- Keep enhancing testing methods, tools, and workflows.
Automation and testing tools
- Develop and support automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Increase automation coverage wherever it is practical.
- Use QA tools to execute tests efficiently.
Data analysis and reporting
- Gather and review test results and statistical information.
- Prepare updates on test progress, defect patterns, and quality measures.
- Use findings to improve product quality and testing effectiveness.
User acceptance, compliance, and collaboration
- Ensure solutions align with user expectations and business requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints and reported issues.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and relevant industry or regulatory rules.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
Troubleshooting and production support
- Analyze and resolve application issues.
- Help troubleshoot defects in testing and production environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality testing, auditing, and software validation.
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile practices, test planning and execution, defect tracking, QA tools, and automation scripting using JavaScript and JSON.
- Experience working with databases such as IBM DB2 UDB, performing data validation, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with solid software troubleshooting ability.
Additional requirements
- Candidates must be Colorado residents and available for a hybrid-style work arrangement in Denver, CO.
- An in-person interview is required.
- The schedule is 8 hours per day in MST.
