Job description
Role overview
Bridgend Motor Group is looking for experienced vehicle technicians to join its teams in Ayr, Kilmarnock, and Kilwinning. This is a permanent full-time opportunity within a long-established Ayrshire business with more than 95 years of trading history. All workshops operate as Bosch Car Service Centres and are equipped to handle a wide range of vehicle work.
What the workshops offer
The company’s modern, spacious workshops are built for an efficient flow from check-in through to repair, servicing, and final handover. Technicians work with advanced diagnostic equipment from Bosch, Autel, TopDon, and LAUNCH, enabling service across many vehicle types. The sites feature more than 14 ramps and support passenger car Class 4 MOT testing, repairs and servicing, as well as commercial vehicle servicing, repairs, and Class 7 MOT testing.
Compensation and working pattern
The salary is clearly structured between £32,000 and £50,000 per year, depending on experience and capability, with tiered pay reviews every 6 months and bonus opportunities. Working hours are 42 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
Training and career growth
Through the Bosch/LKQ partnership, technicians can access an in-house training academy designed to support continued progression. Training covers Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing, ADAS, hybrid vehicle technology, fuel system testing, pass-thru, dealer software, programming, and additional technical areas. All training costs are covered by the employer. The role also offers a pathway into senior and supervisory positions.
Benefits
Employees can expect a broad benefits package that includes enhanced holiday allowance, 30 days of annual leave that increases with service, company sick pay, life insurance, private health insurance, private medical cover, staff discounts on vehicles, parts, and servicing, pension support, a holiday purchase scheme, cycle-to-work support, financial planning services, a health and wellbeing programme, on-site parking, a referral programme, and other employee perks. The workplace is described as supportive, inclusive, and appreciative of individual contribution.
Application notes
The vacancy closes on 30 June 2026. Applicants are asked to submit a CV, along with their name, email address, and contact number. A protected form notice is also present on the source page.
Who this role suits
This position is aimed at qualified and experienced vehicle technicians who want to work on a broad range of makes and models in a modern, well-equipped workshop environment and develop their skills further in diagnostics, MOT work, and advanced vehicle systems.
