Job description
Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support large-scale building projects in Qatar, specifically in the Ras Laffan area. The role is suited to professionals who have handled complex construction programs and can maintain quality standards across all stages of execution.
General Profile
- You should have a solid background in large building construction, such as residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar project types.
- Prior success in delivering projects of a similar size and complexity is expected.
- Previous work experience in Qatar is preferred; relevant GCC experience may be accepted instead.
- A recognized degree in Engineering or a closely related field is required.
- Valid MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred for candidates already based in Qatar and required wherever applicable.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are necessary.
- The position calls for excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder-handling abilities.
- Familiarity with QatarEnergy, major clients, consultants, and local authority procedures is an added advantage.
Key Duties
- Apply and monitor quality assurance and quality control standards across project activities.
- Support inspection and testing processes to confirm compliance with project requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Engineering degree or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- At least 8 to 10 years of QA/QC experience.
- Hands-on experience in building construction projects.
- Working knowledge of ITPs, method statements, inspections, material approvals, and quality records/documentation.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- MMUP/UPDA certification is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar.
