Job description

Role overview

123Greetings is looking for a PR professional who can both shape strategy and drive day-to-day execution. The person in this role will help protect and improve the company’s public reputation, define how the brand is presented to external audiences, and keep the company’s messaging consistent across media, users, partners, and the wider public.

Brand image and reputation management

  • Set and maintain the company’s public voice, identity, and market positioning.
  • Monitor how the brand is being discussed and perceived across media, digital channels, and public conversations.
  • Create and implement initiatives that build trust, credibility, and a stronger emotional connection with audiences.
  • Make sure every outward-facing communication reflects the brand’s values, tone, and long-term direction.
  • Spot reputation risks early and recommend corrective action when needed.

Media relations and outreach

  • Develop and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media houses.
  • Find opportunities for the company to gain coverage through interviews, features, and thought-leadership placements.
  • Write and circulate press releases, media pitches, company updates, and briefing notes for spokespeople.
  • Arrange media interactions and help leadership prepare for interviews and public appearances.
  • Monitor press coverage, evaluate sentiment, and compile regular PR performance updates.

Strategic communication and messaging

  • Create messaging frameworks for product launches, company milestones, campaigns, and corporate announcements.
  • Turn business objectives into engaging and audience-friendly public narratives.
  • Keep messaging aligned across PR, marketing, social media, and corporate communications.

Crisis communication and issue management

  • Serve as the main contact for handling crisis-related communication.
  • Prepare response statements and communication plans for sensitive or high-risk situations.
  • Watch public discussion and media signals closely to identify issues before they escalate.
  • Coordinate with leadership, legal, and internal teams during crisis situations.

Content and thought leadership

  • Identify opportunities to establish the company and its leaders as industry voices.
  • Support or lead the creation of opinion pieces, interviews, guest columns, and industry commentary.
  • Assist with award entries, recognition programs, and speaking opportunities.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Social Media, Product, and Leadership teams to keep communication efforts aligned.
  • Support employer-branding initiatives in partnership with HR.
  • Ensure PR planning supports marketing activity and broader business goals.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or brand management.
  • Hands-on experience with media relations and brand reputation management.
  • Strong abilities in writing, editing, and storytelling.

Preferred experience

  • Background in digital, media, lifestyle, or consumer-focused brands is preferred.
  • Exposure to PR work across multiple markets or global campaigns is an advantage.
  • Agency-side experience will be considered a plus.
