Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate employees and contractors, making sure tasks are understood, training needs are covered, and accountability is maintained.
  • Check and assess work requests in good time before they move into the planning approval process.
  • Take part in weekly pre-planning, planning, and scheduling sessions to keep resources aligned with the work plan.
  • Oversee safe delivery of maintenance activities in line with the approved schedule.
  • Support minor and capital works, including scope development, commercial input, and tendering activities.
  • Organise and adjust plans for unplanned work, including rescheduling tasks when priorities change.
  • Review how the team performs during execution, spot gaps, and put corrective actions in place where needed.
  • Monitor events and ensure escalation procedures are followed correctly.
  • Contribute ideas and input to the development of work strategies.
  • Maintain full compliance across the end-to-end process.

Candidate profile

  • You should be able to spot likely issues early and respond to them in a practical, logical way while always prioritising safety.
  • Strong record-keeping skills are needed, including maintaining time and material records and submitting required reports.
  • A trade-related qualification in a relevant field, along with experience in a comparable organisation or industry, is required.
  • A valid Working at Heights Licence is mandatory.
  • A current White Card is mandatory.
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training is considered an advantage.
  • Prior experience in mining environments will be highly valued.
  • You must have well-developed communication and interpersonal abilities, plus a genuine commitment to a collaborative, team-focused approach.
