Project Security and Access Control Specialist (Saudi nationality)

Role overview

Egis is looking for a highly detail-focused and analytical Project Security and Access Control Specialist for its Jeddah, Saudi Arabia location. The role centers on building, deploying, and overseeing security and access control frameworks across project environments. You will partner with multiple teams to keep security practices robust, support delivery goals, and align with organizational compliance expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess security posture and analyze risks to uncover weaknesses and suggest practical mitigation steps.
• Handle the full lifecycle of user access, including granting and removing permissions, while keeping records accurate and audit-ready.
• Watch for security events and access irregularities, then act quickly when suspicious activity appears.
• Create and update security documents such as access policies, operating procedures, and guidance notes.
• Work with IT and project teams to embed security controls smoothly into day-to-day project operations.
• Carry out routine audits and compliance checks to confirm alignment with internal rules and regulatory obligations.
• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot access control solutions and identity and access management platforms.
• Deliver security awareness and procedural guidance to project stakeholders on access management and best practices.
• Measure, track, and report security performance, access control efficiency, and compliance progress to project leadership.
• Keep up to date with new threats, tools, and industry practices related to access control and security management.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in security, access control, or IT security functions.
• Airport experience is preferred.
• Proven capability in designing and administering access control environments and IAM solutions.
• Working knowledge of security platforms and monitoring tools.
• Good grasp of project management concepts and the ability to coordinate security activities across projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with close attention to detail.
• Well-developed organization and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical security topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CCSK are preferred.
• Experience in incident response and vulnerability assessment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s regional compliance requirements and security standards is preferred.
