About the Role

This position is for a Project Sales Manager focused on government-driven B2B opportunities in the building materials space. The role is based across Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai, and offers a compensation package of up to 8.5 LPA. Applicants should bring at least 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates from the cement and concrete industry are not considered a fit for this opening.

Role Overview

The ideal hire will have a strong background in government sales and project-based selling, with hands-on exposure to tender-led business. Success in this role depends on the ability to work with government departments, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders involved in public projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow B2B sales opportunities connected to government and institutional projects.
  • Source and convert prospects through government bodies, contractors, consultants, and project owners.
  • Handle the full sales journey, starting from lead creation through to final project conversion.
  • Take part in tender submissions, bid processes, and commercial discussions.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with government decision-makers and project partners.
  • Monitor upcoming public projects, infrastructure activity, and market developments to spot business opportunities.
  • Deliver on sales targets while contributing to growth in the allocated territory.
  • Work closely with internal teams to support smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking someone with a proven record in government or project sales, especially within the building materials sector. The right person will be comfortable managing large accounts, handling complex opportunities independently, and working across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in government sales or project sales.
  • Solid B2B selling experience in the building materials industry.
  • Background in institutional sales, project-led sales, and tender-based work.
  • A well-developed network with government departments, contractors, consultants, and project authorities.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and relationship building.
  • Ability to independently manage major accounts and large project opportunities.
