Job description
Overview
This role sits within NHS Lothian at Woodburn House in Edinburgh and is focused on helping deliver projects across their full lifecycle. The post supports project administration, information handling, stakeholder coordination, and the transition of work into operational support.
The Project Officer will also work with stakeholders and end-users involved in eHealth rollouts, offering practical guidance and assistance throughout implementation activities.
Key purpose of the role
You will work alongside the Project Manager to keep projects organised and progressing smoothly, with a particular focus on administration, documentation, and management of project information. A key part of the job is helping ensure a structured handover to the Support team when project phases require it.
Support for applicants
NHS Scotland is committed to equal opportunity and to building a workforce that reflects society. Applications are welcomed from all communities, and reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabled candidates, people with long-term conditions, and neurodivergent applicants.
Anyone working in the United Kingdom must have the correct legal permission to do so, which is confirmed by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. Applicants should ensure they meet this requirement and understand the checks NHS Scotland Boards must carry out.
Application guidance
Applicants are expected to submit original answers that reflect their own experience, skills, and motivation. AI tools may be used only as support for planning, idea generation, spelling, or grammar checking. They must not be used to generate the application content itself, and applications relying on AI-written responses may be withdrawn.
This vacancy may close early if a strong response is received, so applicants are encouraged to apply promptly.
