Role Overview
KCG Companies is looking for an experienced Multifamily Construction Project Manager to handle the commercial and administrative side of wood-frame residential projects from start to finish. This role calls for strong experience in project leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating teams within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep project budgets current, track expenses carefully, and forecast upcoming costs to protect project profitability.
- Oversee trade partner billing and make sure all work aligns with the contract requirements.
- Serve as a communication hub for project stakeholders and help resolve issues as they come up.
- Build and maintain project schedules so progress stays on track and deadlines are met.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of contract documents and all project commitments.
- Handle buyout activities by sourcing needed project resources and negotiating agreements with vendors and trade partners.
- Take part in scheduled project meetings and support coordination around project goals.
- Regularly visit active job sites to review status and address issues in person.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 to 5 years of project management experience in wood-framed construction.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
- Ability to adapt to KCG processes and programs while maintaining a professional approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across varied teams.
