About the Role
AECOM is seeking a dedicated Project Manager specializing in data centres to join their Dublin office and lead mission-critical projects from conception through to commissioning. This role requires managing the entire project lifecycle to ensure delivery aligns with strict timelines, budgets, safety standards, and top-tier operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive management of data centre and colocation projects, spanning early design to procurement, construction, and operational commissioning.
- Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary teams to meet complex project targets related to schedule, budget, quality, and reliability.
- Serve as the principal liaison with clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment with technical and business goals.
- Take full accountability for overall project success, covering risk management, change procedures, and governance throughout all phases.
- Supervise contractor activities and on-site operations, including construction and commissioning within functioning and new-build environments.
- Maintain strict control over project finances, schedules, and reporting to uphold fiscal discipline and certainty in program delivery.
Candidate Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
- Active progression towards Chartered professional status with recognized institutions such as RICS, CIOB, ICE, RIBA, or Engineers Ireland.
- Membership or active affiliation with the Association for Project Management (APM) is advantageous.
