Overview

This is an internal opening at Weekday, not a client-facing assignment. The role is fully remote and is offered as a full-time position. Weekday is an AI-native recruiting platform backed by Y Combinator and Venture Highway (now General Catalyst). The company has built a large white-collar talent database in India and uses outbound recruiting tools to help more than 1,000 companies hire effectively while growing profitably.

Role Summary

The Program Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of companies from start to finish. The work includes finding the right candidates, managing company relationships, and converting trust into repeated hiring outcomes. This is a high-ownership role where judgment matters more than following a fixed script. The expectation is to learn what makes a strong candidate, decide how to spend time wisely, and become a trusted partner companies rely on even before a role is fully defined. Operations teams will support the work, but the outcome ownership sits with this role.

Success Milestones

The role is measured by business impact. The first year includes clear milestones that show increasing ownership, hiring output, and account growth.

  • By the end of Month 1: Gain a strong understanding of how Weekday operates. Spend 100+ hours sourcing profiles on the platform and develop your own judgment for identifying strong, average, and weak candidates. Build hands-on experience by working as an individual contributor across multiple operations teams and delivering strong metrics, so you understand how to use those teams well going forward.
  • By the end of Month 3: Build a portfolio of companies that regularly hire through Weekday. Strengthen your account management skills beyond sourcing, understand customer needs and their place in the wider tech/startup ecosystem, and make disciplined decisions about which accounts deserve more time. Deliver your first hire in Month 2 and at least 2 more hires in Month 3. Identify when to step back from weak accounts, and recover at least one slower account into a higher-priority relationship.
  • By the end of Month 6: Become a major contributor to revenue by consistently delivering 5+ hires per month after the initial quarter. Maintain a core set of 8+ high-priority companies, each hiring with Weekday about once every other month. Gain confidence handling a wide variety of roles, including Engineering and Sales.
  • By the end of Month 12: Help drive portfolio revenue to more than ₹50L per month in the second half of the year, with confidence that the number can still hold in a weaker month. Build deep trust with client companies so they seek your advice early, discuss roles before they are finalized, and value your market insight. Internally, be recognized as a top Key Account Manager who can handle high-stakes onboardings and difficult closures, while managing challenging conversations with companies, candidates, and teammates. At this point, you should be ready to shape your own goals for year two.

What the Role Involves

You will own end-to-end delivery across your company portfolio, balancing sourcing, prioritization, relationship management, and hiring execution. The position calls for strong independent judgment, a willingness to learn quickly, and the ability to work closely with internal operations support while taking full responsibility for results.
