Job description
Role Overview
This position supports tablet and capsule final packing operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Singapore. The technician will handle packing equipment, maintain documentation, uphold cleanroom standards, and ensure work is carried out in line with cGMP, GxP, safety, and quality expectations.
Key Duties
- Carry out the activities needed to run final packing equipment for tablets and capsules.
- Operate the assigned machines, including cleaning, assembling, and keeping them in proper condition.
- Record operational details accurately in line with cGMP standards.
- Use equipment according to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and batch records.
- Monitor in-process parameters and perform checks during production batches.
- Prepare and maintain all required records and documentation for packing equipment and related work areas.
- Keep all tasks compliant with cGMP requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment to support regulatory compliance.
- Support other production duties needed to meet scheduling demands.
- Verify materials and product information against batch documentation.
- Work with Engineering to resolve breakdowns on primary and secondary packing lines.
- Take part in equipment and process qualification activities.
- Assist with investigations related to process deviations, cGMP issues, and other compliance matters when needed.
- Follow GxP, safety, and quality policies at all times.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of safe work practices and cGMP guidelines.
- Prior exposure to bottle or blister packing for oral solid dosage products is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, eager-to-learn attitude.
- Prepared to work in Tuas in a cleanroom setting with full gowning.
- Minimum GCE O Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or a Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical or similar industries.
Work Environment
This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore, specifically in the Tuas area, and requires work in a cleanroom with full gowning.
