Role overview

A respected rubber manufacturing business in Ghana is looking for a seasoned Supervisor to run day-to-day factory activities. This position calls for practical experience in rubber production, solid leadership ability, and a strong focus on output, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and organize the plant’s daily production work in the rubber manufacturing unit.
  • Keep production on track so targets are achieved without compromising quality.
  • Watch machine performance, raw material consumption, and the efficiency of the production flow.
  • Apply health, safety, and environmental requirements consistently across the workplace.
  • Guide, train, and take corrective action with production staff to lift performance.
  • Spot bottlenecks or operational issues and put practical fixes in place.
  • Make sure equipment is maintained properly and downtime stays as low as possible.
  • Compile production updates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Coordinate with management to raise productivity and cut down waste.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal applicant should have 7–10 years of solid experience in rubber manufacturing or a similar industrial production environment, including 3–5 years in a supervisory or team leadership position.

Good working knowledge of rubber processing methods such as compounding, extrusion, molding, or vulcanization is important. A technical or vocational background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Production Management, or a related discipline is required.

Strong leadership, communication, and troubleshooting abilities are essential, along with the capacity to perform effectively under pressure and deliver against strict production timelines. Familiarity with ISO requirements, quality assurance practices, and workplace safety rules is also expected. The role additionally calls for competence in basic reporting and production record-keeping.
