Job description

About Roku

Roku is a leading TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a goal of helping power every television worldwide. The company was an early pioneer in streaming to TV and aims to connect the full TV ecosystem by linking viewers with the content they enjoy, helping publishers grow and monetize audiences, and giving advertisers strong tools to reach consumers.

Roku is a fast-growing public company where each person is expected to contribute meaningfully from day one. The company offers the chance to help serve millions of TV streamers globally while building experience across multiple areas.

About the Team

The Roku Ads Manager team focuses on the rising demand for connected TV advertising. Its self-serve ad platform became generally available in September 2024 and has since gained strong momentum. The team is small, fast-moving, hands-on, and committed to building a leading streaming ad platform. It works quickly, tests assumptions, and aims to expand what advertising can do for growth marketers, performance agencies, and other businesses.

Role Overview

The Product Solutions Lead will connect technical solutions with the needs of clients and go-to-market teams. The position includes platform demonstrations, performance-focused campaign guidance, and support in maintaining smooth operations.

This role partners closely with Sales to uncover customer needs, present platform capabilities, and make sure the ad-tech solution matches real business requirements. It is a technically oriented, customer-facing role that combines strong ad-tech knowledge, clear communication, and problem-solving to help clients get the most value from Roku Ads Manager.

The role places particular emphasis on Roku's Political Sales team, helping advertisers in that segment shift from linear media to connected TV, while also supporting other verticals. It covers both pre-sale and post-sale work, including helping win new business, supporting current accounts, running demos, handling technical questions, creating customer playbooks, supporting sales enablement, addressing objections, and studying competitors. Feedback from the market must be collected and turned into useful actions that help improve the platform.

Success in this role depends on strong ad-tech expertise, excellent communication, critical thinking, and the ability to understand both product mechanics and execution details. This is an individual contributor role with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that demands autonomy and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and equip the Sales team with the knowledge and materials needed to explain the platform and its value clearly.
  • Serve as the technical link between Sales and Product, making sure customer needs and platform capabilities stay aligned.
  • Advise customers and internal stakeholders on integrations, product functionality, and best practices for using platform features effectively.
  • Run customized demos that highlight how Roku Ads Manager can meet each client’s objectives.
  • Work with Sales on pre-sale strategy, including solution design and technical documentation for product features, architecture, and integrations.
  • Support customers after launch, helping them adopt the product and resolving technical issues when needed.
  • Gather customer insights and translate them into product improvement ideas and roadmap input.
  • Monitor the self-serve CTV advertising market and build competitive messaging that helps the business win.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in digital media or a closely related field.
  • Background in ad sales engineering, product solutions, or technical client services, with added value for experience in self-serve platforms, connected TV, or political advertising.
  • Strong grasp of the ad-tech landscape and the performance technology that supports it.
  • Interest in ad performance and in helping marketers use advanced technical solutions for the first time.
  • Excellent ability to explain technical concepts in a way that is practical and easy to act on.
  • Flexible, collaborative working style with the ability to adapt quickly as priorities change.
  • Comfort working across teams such as support, sales, and go-to-market functions.
  • Curious, self-directed, and motivated to keep learning in a fast-moving environment.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges related to launching first-of-their-kind ad platform features.

Compensation and Benefits

For New York, the estimated annual salary range for this role is $155,300 to $178,000. Final compensation will depend on factors such as skills, certifications, and location.

This position is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

Work Model

Roku uses a hybrid approach. Teams are generally in the office Monday through Thursday, while Fridays are flexible for remote work, except for roles that require five days in the office or offices with a five-day onsite policy.

Depending on location and role, this may include medical, dental, and vision coverage; life, accident, and disability benefits; commuter support; and retirement options such as 401(k) or pension. Employees also have access to mental health and financial wellness resources, along with time off in line with local leave policies.
