About the company
Visa is a global payments technology leader that enables transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and government bodies in more than 200 countries and territories. The company is focused on improving how people pay and get paid, and on creating meaningful impact at scale.
In this role, you will contribute to initiatives that affect customers, communities, and markets across the region while building your experience in a high-impact product environment.
Role overview
This position sits within the Digital Solutions vertical of the Solutions organization and focuses on product leadership for Visa Token Service initiatives and lower-cost acceptance solutions, including Visa Accept and emerging acceptance opportunities in urban mobility. The remit covers West Africa and involves close coordination with multiple business and technical teams across digital development, network processing, client support, risk, legal, and operations.

The job is well suited to someone with an engineering or pre-sales consulting background who wants to move deeper into product management within payments technology.
The right candidate should be adaptable, easy to coach, strong in communication and presentation, and comfortable balancing several workstreams at once. The position calls for more than 2 years of experience in product management, requirements gathering, and use case design, along with a technical foundation and the ability to work both tactically and strategically with limited supervision in a fast-changing environment.
Responsibilities

- Support business development work by contributing to pitches, RFP responses, and new or existing client opportunities.
- Work with regional solution teams to define tokenization use-case availability and market-specific needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical integration guidance for Visa Digital Solutions SDK, VTS token requestor, and issuer APIs through the Visa Developer Center.
- Support pre-sales technical integration for global third-party wallet integrations, working with business development, client services, and regional solutions teams.
- Drive rollout of VTS programs such as Secure Credential Framework across the region.
- Lead Visa Accept strategy across West African markets.
- Support transit technology partners, acquirers, and merchant aggregators.
- Shape the Visa Accept and transit roadmap by defining product and market requirements.
- Provide pre-sales technical support to regional solution vendors, payment facilitators, and acquirers.
- Manage integration, certification, and pilot launches across SSA markets.
- Monitor pilot performance for Visa Accept and transit initiatives and report results to global stakeholders.
- Feed regional requirements into global product planning for roadmap consideration.
- Track delivery and performance of client solutions and launches, with regular reporting and status updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert in merchant solutions and tokenization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver strong proximity payment experiences and related capabilities.
- Develop and support new use cases, concepts, product definitions, and design requirements for the Visa Token Service platform.
- Provide product and technology support to local and regional teams across a complex and evolving platform.
- Set performance metrics to measure feature delivery and drive continuous improvement.
- Use creative problem-solving to identify technical solutions that advance business goals.
- Work collaboratively across teams, including in situations without direct reporting lines.
- Help prioritize the product backlog so execution stays aligned with product vision, roadmap, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 4 years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent technical expertise gained through work experience.
