Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on shaping tea and beverage products for the Southeast Asian market, with Singapore as a key geography. The role blends market intelligence, consumer insight, and innovation work to turn research findings into practical product development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed market studies across Southeast Asia, especially Singapore, to understand tea consumption patterns, competitor activity, and supply chain movements that can inform product strategy.
- Use multiple consumer research methods such as surveys, one-to-one interviews, and blind taste tests to uncover local flavor preferences and segment-specific expectations.
- Convert market observations, flavor trends, ingredient performance, and sensory findings into actionable R&D initiatives by coordinating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Review post-launch consumer reactions and sales indicators for new beverages, then work with R&D to refine and evolve product flavors in line with changing customer preferences.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is preferred. The role also calls for at least 3 years of experience in tea beverages or FMCG, with prior familiarity with the Southeast Asian market considered an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
The position requires strong research and insight-generation abilities, solid project ownership, and the capacity to independently run research work from start to finish. Fluency in English and Chinese is needed, along with openness to international relocation for assignments. An interest in food, lifestyle exploration, and trying new concepts is also valued.
Work Context
This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore.
