Private Equity Analyst

Role overview

This contract role is focused on private equity research support, with an emphasis on producing analysis that can directly inform investment decisions. The work sits at the intersection of financial modelling, market review, and deal evaluation, with outputs expected to be polished, decision-ready, and suited for investment use.

The position is remote and expects at least 10 hours of work each week. Compensation is set at $130 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and improve financial models that help guide investment choices.
• Draft clear investment memos and concise analytical write-ups.
• Carry out market sizing work and estimate total addressable market opportunities.
• Review deal packs, including CIMs and supporting due diligence materials.
• Assist with deal sourcing by researching and screening potential opportunities.

What is needed

• A solid understanding of private equity processes and how investment decisions are evaluated.
• Proven ability to build financial models and structure analysis effectively.
• Comfort working with transaction documents and diligence materials.
• Strong written communication skills, especially for turning complex analysis into clear takeaways.
• Dependability in delivering work on an independent, project-by-project basis.
