About the Role
This opportunity is for a Night Hygiene Operative based in Hereford, Herefordshire, offering a minimum weekly earning of £560. Full training is provided, so previous experience is not required.

Working Hours
Primary Night Hygiene shifts run Monday to Thursday from 21:00 to 05:00, and Friday from 17:00 to 01:00. The £1.61 shift premium applies to these hours.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will help the Hygiene team maintain the required cleanliness and hygiene standards across the Avara Foods site. The role requires strict adherence to health and safety expectations and completion of tasks in line with food safety rules.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working towards both personal and departmental performance goals
- Using raw materials and energy responsibly
- Supporting ongoing improvements in quality, safety, and productivity
- Handling plant and equipment manually where required
- Isolating machinery and plant safely
- Keeping housekeeping and hygiene standards high, both independently and as part of a team
- Following food safety and HSE requirements at all times
- Completing any instructions given by the Team Leader or management
What You’ll Need
A good command of English and basic numeracy are important for this role. You should also be comfortable working as part of a team, able to communicate clearly, and show strong attention to detail with a flexible approach to different tasks. Experience in a production or manufacturing setting would be helpful, but it is not essential because full training will be provided.

About the Hereford Site
The Hereford facility is the company’s largest site and processes chicken products across two factory locations: Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand covers processing, whole bird production, and portioning, while Yazor focuses on portioning and added-value production. Around 1,500 people work across the site, which handles approximately 1.9 million birds each week.
