Job description
About the company
This opportunity is with a fast-growing SaaS provider that offers modern cloud software for workflow and case management, along with strong financial and operational functionality. Its platform helps professional services firms simplify day-to-day operations, work more efficiently, and get live visibility into their business performance.
As the company continues to gain momentum in the UK, it is adding to its commercial team and looking for a confident Pre-Sales Engineer to support expansion and customer engagement.
Role overview
In this position, you will contribute to the sales journey by demonstrating the product’s value to prospective customers. You will work closely with Account Executives to learn each client’s needs, prepare relevant demo scenarios, and explain how the platform addresses workflow, operational, and financial challenges.
The role suits someone with experience in SaaS, consulting, or product demonstrations who enjoys blending technical understanding with a consultative, story-led approach.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside Account Executives to run tailored demonstrations that resonate with prospective clients.
- Convert product capabilities into practical, business-focused explanations.
- Speak with prospects to uncover their processes, pain points, and business priorities.
- Set up demo environments and supporting data so they mirror realistic customer situations.
- Contribute technical content for proposals, tenders, and RFP submissions.
- Share insights from customer discussions and market movement with Product and Marketing teams.
- Develop a strong understanding of the platform’s modules and broader product offering.
- Support a seamless transition to Professional Services after a deal is signed.
Skills and experience
- Background in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consultant, Technical Consultant, or comparable role within SaaS or software.
- Solid understanding of operational, workflow, or financial business processes.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort presenting to senior decision-makers and leading discovery discussions.
- Practical experience configuring or demonstrating software, not just presenting slides.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to influence purchasing decisions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with LegalTech, Practice Management, or Legal Accounting tools is helpful, though candidates from other software and consulting backgrounds are also welcome.
Compensation
The salary for this role is £55,000 to £65,000, plus commission.
Work location
The position is based in London and follows a hybrid working setup.
