About Sangoma

Sangoma is an international provider of unified communications, contact center, connectivity, and managed services offerings. Its platforms help businesses bring together people, processes, and technology through cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premise communication solutions.

Role Overview

The company is looking for a Portfolio Manager to lead planning, prioritization, governance, and execution across its Unified Communications portfolio. This includes UCaaS, CCaaS, SIP Trunking, Managed Connectivity, and connected communications products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming feature ideas, change requests, and new initiatives by weighing business value, scope, effort, risk, dependencies, and delivery implications.
  • Assist with portfolio intake, triage, prioritization, and governance across several work streams.
  • Work closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders to shape planning, sequencing, and trade-off choices.
  • Help teams coordinate around cross-functional dependencies, blockers, and delivery readiness.
  • Coach delivery teams and Scrum Masters to improve planning quality, execution discipline, and overall team performance.
  • Create, maintain, and refine delivery operating models, governance cadences, standards, and working methods to improve consistency across the organization.
  • Develop dashboards and reports covering roadmap status, milestones, dependencies, RAID items, capacity, and delivery progress.
  • Run governance meetings and make sure decisions, action items, and follow-ups are recorded and tracked.
  • Support the planning and delivery of programs and cross-team initiatives from kickoff through completion.
  • Encourage effective use of workflow and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards, and related reporting setup.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, PMO leadership, product operations, agile operations, or a comparable strategic planning role.
  • Background managing complex portfolios, programs, or cross-functional work in SaaS, cloud communications, telecommunications, or other technology settings.
  • Solid experience with portfolio governance, roadmap planning, prioritization methods, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
  • Ability to assess new requests, compare trade-offs, and support executive-level prioritization.
  • Experience creating executive dashboards and reporting on portfolio health, delivery progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource use.
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Practical experience using Jira, Confluence, portfolio reporting, and workflow tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and align business and technical groups.
  • Strong business and financial judgment, including ROI analysis, budgeting considerations, and strategic planning.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in unified communications, UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP, SIP Trunking, contact center, telecommunications, or cloud communications.
  • Exposure to product organizations with recurring revenue and SaaS business models.
  • SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar certifications.
  • Experience working with global product and engineering teams.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, long-term disability, and short-term disability, available after a short waiting period.
  • 401(k) match with a 100% match on the first 4% contributed.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan available after one year of service.
  • Flexible time off along with company holidays.
  • Entrepreneurial environment with strong opportunities for career growth.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. The company is not accepting agency submissions or third-party resumes.
