About the Role

This fully remote PMO Project Coordinator role involves overseeing various project management office activities including documenting processes, managing templates, time tracking, and generating project reports. You will work with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and other task management systems to support these responsibilities. There are opportunities to lead smaller internal projects while collaborating closely with the State client’s PMO teams, requiring strong customer relations skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and improve existing PMO and change management procedures.
  • Maintain PMO documentation, templates, and processes primarily via SharePoint.
  • Create and distribute PMO reports to stakeholders including external State clients.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project gates and checkpoints to ensure deliverables are completed and approved appropriately.
  • Monitor project issues and risks, assisting in escalation and updates as necessary.
  • Manage expectations of clients, company, and project teams by tracking and reporting on agreed project performance metrics.
  • Support the client billing process by verifying proper time tracking for projects monthly.
  • Delegate PMO tasks to project and quality management team members.
  • Perform project-related data analysis on performance indicators such as budget, cost estimation, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in a project management environment, formal or informal.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies in technical settings.
  • Proficiency using project management tools including preferably JIRA and Confluence or comparable tools.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and templates.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including detailed data analysis and pivot tables.
  • Comfortable and effective with communication and collaboration across remote teams.
  • Experience managing smaller-scale, low-risk projects.
  • Ability to comprehend and adapt processes, mentor junior personnel, and manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.

Work Environment

This position is remote and available to teleworkers located anywhere within the USA.
