Role overview

This position is for a plumber based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on keeping the property’s plumbing systems operating safely, efficiently, and without interruption.

What you will do

  • Carry out regular checks and upkeep of water supply, drainage, sewage, and gas piping systems throughout the property.
  • Identify plumbing faults and complete repairs for leaks, clogs, damaged fixtures, and broken pipes.
  • Fit, replace, and service plumbing items such as sinks, toilets, taps, showers, and water heaters, making sure installations meet industry standards.
  • Track water pressure and flow, and make adjustments to maintain system performance across all areas.
  • Handle urgent plumbing incidents such as burst pipes, flooding, and other emergencies, restoring service as quickly as possible.
  • Apply preventive measures like pipe and drain flushing to reduce future breakdowns and extend system life.
  • Ensure all work follows local building codes, safety rules, and company procedures, while staying updated on plumbing standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance colleagues and department leads to keep plumbing assets in excellent condition and resolve maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Keep detailed and accurate logs of installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support guests and staff by responding quickly to plumbing-related requests and maintaining reliable service.

Qualifications and requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; plumbing certification or related training is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience working as a plumber is needed, especially in commercial or hospitality environments. Experience across both residential and commercial systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing installation, servicing, and repair work, along with the ability to use plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to assess issues accurately and fix them promptly with minimal disruption.
  • Physically capable of manual work such as lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
  • High attention to detail to ensure work quality and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Awareness of safe handling practices for tools, chemicals, and materials.
  • Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete jobs within deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for dealing with guests, staff, and supervisors.
