About the Role
China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their planning team on a significant new large-scale construction project located in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop tender and master project schedules using work breakdown structure methodologies, incorporating resource and cost allocations.
- Update schedules on a weekly basis, monitoring ongoing progress against approved plans; evaluate resource adequacy and communicate shortages to the Project Manager and subcontractors for resolution.
- Design detailed recovery schedules when necessary, ensuring appropriate increases in manpower and site supervision from both main and subcontractors.
- Track milestone achievements and notify Project Manager and senior management about any deficiencies within subcontractor deliverables.
- Manage the submission of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to consultants and subcontractors; actively participate in weekly progress meetings and prepare associated documentation.
- Prepare time impact claims and extension of time (EOT) requests, evaluating the effects of design changes or trend notices for project management consideration.
- Continuously monitor potential schedule slippages, advise construction management on corrective measures, and coordinate meetings involving all relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on building projects.
