Role overview
Stafford Borough and Cannock Chase District Councils are looking for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join their established and high-performing Development Management team, supporting work across Cannock Chase District. This permanent post offers a varied and meaningful workload, with the chance to contribute directly to the quality of local planning services.

Grade: G
Salary: £32,597 to £36,363 per year, subject to a pending pay award
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 37 hours per week

About the role
This position is central to the continued development of the enforcement service. The successful candidate will work within a public-sector setting and help provide a responsive, professional and high-quality planning enforcement function across the district.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring planning enforcement knowledge, confidence in managing a broad range of planning and development issues, and the ability to work effectively with customers in situations that may be difficult or sensitive. You should be comfortable working in a complex public-sector environment and able to work collaboratively while maintaining a professional approach.
