About the Institution

Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (VMRF) began in 1981 under the Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. Over the years, it has developed into a multidisciplinary university with academic offerings in health sciences, engineering, management, and other professional areas.

Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT), part of the same ecosystem, is a multidisciplinary institution in Chennai known for its project-based learning focus and curriculum innovation. It follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to create a more personalized learning experience for students.

Role Overview

This is a full-time Placement Officer position based in Hyderabad. The role centers on supporting internship and campus recruitment activity, connecting with employers, and identifying suitable placement opportunities for students from different academic backgrounds.

Key Duties

  • Plan and execute campus recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, and hiring events.
  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with employers and corporate partners.
  • Maintain placement records, databases, and statistics for internal reporting.
  • Arrange or conduct employability workshops, resume preparation sessions, mock interviews, and soft-skills training.
  • Offer personalized career guidance to students to improve their job readiness.
  • Work closely with faculty members and department heads to coordinate placement-related activities.
  • Ensure smooth communication among students, recruiters, and the institution.

Qualifications and Suitability

  • Applicants should have strong experience or capability in campus placements and employer relationship management.
  • The position requires confident written and verbal communication for interacting with students, faculty, and recruiters.
  • Experience in career counseling, job search guidance, and interview preparation is preferred.
  • A background in education or student development, especially in a higher education setting, is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any specialization is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic data handling is needed for record keeping and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, networking, and stakeholder management skills are important, along with a student-focused and results-driven approach.

Additional Information

The role is office-based and involves active coordination with multiple stakeholders across the institution and employer network. The position is intended for someone who can balance relationship management, student mentoring, event coordination, and reporting responsibilities effectively.
