Job description
Overview
Active+ Counties is seeking a physiotherapist to join its team in central Papakura, Auckland. The role is based within a busy accident and medical centre and opens up because a current team member is heading overseas on an OE. The position begins in August 2026 and offers the chance to work alongside the practice owner and a multidisciplinary group of clinicians.
This opportunity is suitable for a physiotherapist looking for either part-time or full-time work. The role includes a broad mix of clinical areas, so you can focus on the type of practice you enjoy most, such as sports physiotherapy, Pilates instruction, concussion care, rehabilitation for older adults, or management of persistent pain. The organisation also prioritises flexibility, allowing work hours to be aligned with lifestyle needs and supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Team and patient care environment
The clinic works in close collaboration with onsite psychologists and dietitians, and also partners with medical specialists, speech language therapists, and social workers. This integrated approach helps provide comprehensive support for clients working to rebuild independence after injury.
Requirements
- A strong commitment to delivering excellent physiotherapy care.
- Genuine interest in musculoskeletal treatment, with an openness to varied clinical work.
- A positive, energetic personality that fits well within a friendly team.
- Solid organisation and time-management skills.
- At least two years of post-graduate experience.
- Prior experience working under ACC rehabilitation contracts.
- A current New Zealand work visa, as sponsorship is not available.
- A valid New Zealand annual practising certificate.
What the employer offers
- A competitive pay package.
- Access to professional development and training.
- A CPD allowance.
- Flexible working arrangements designed to support work-life balance.
- The chance to join a skilled, friendly, and energetic team.
- Potential for career progression within the franchise and the wider Active+ provider network.
