Role overview
This opening is for Phoenix, Myntra’s returnship initiative for women re-entering the workforce after a career break. The program is based in Bengaluru, follows an onsite model, and runs for 6 months. It is intended to provide structured support, learning opportunities, mentorship, and practical project experience to help participants transition back into professional life with confidence.
Launched in 2021, Phoenix has continued to grow and is now in its 5th batch. The program is designed to create a pathway for participants to work alongside experienced professionals in e-commerce and potentially move into full-time roles at Myntra.
Responsibilities
The selected professional will take end-to-end responsibility for category performance and daily operations, with a focus on commercial outcomes, brand coordination, and assortment growth.
- Own the category P&L and track major business measures such as GMV, gross margin, inventory provisioning, monetization and marketing performance across portfolios like OR, SOR, PPMP and FBM.
- Run day-to-day category operations and help build efficient processes that support brand growth on the app.
- Partner with the category planning team to prepare monthly brand-wise plans aligned to annual targets, including inward quantities for OR and SOR portfolios.
- Coordinate with outright and SOR brands to maintain the right supply, replenishment flow, and SMU/MTO development where needed.
- Work with operations teams to manage inward slotting and delivery timelines so monthly inward goals are achieved.
- Support marketplace brands on supply planning, discounting, marketing investment, fulfillment adherence, and assortment expansion to meet monthly revenue goals.
- Drive business development by using marketplace models to onboard brands and solve selection or assortment gaps.
- Coordinate financial reconciliation and closure activities for important brands wherever required.
- Help strengthen the category catalog through brand relationship management across national and international brands.
- Collaborate with the demand team to improve pricing, app visibility, and performance on metrics such as LCs, clicks, and conversions.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with brands to ensure annual plans are executed well and relevant campaigns are activated on Myntra.
- Study trends, assortment opportunities, competition, and buyer expectations to merchandise and market the right selection.
- Carry out continuous competitive benchmarking and suggest actions that improve the value proposition for customers.
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in e-commerce business management, either from the brand side or in category management for an e-commerce company.
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex, and uncertain environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational capability.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, including comfort with forecasts and performance metrics.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to support consumer and business goals.
