Pet Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

About the Role

Woofie’s Pet Service in Torrance is seeking a dedicated Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to provide loving care and exercise to clients’ pets. This role offers flexible scheduling options where employees can choose from a variety of visits including morning, evening, weekend walks, pet sitting during regular workdays or travel periods, and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Interact with various pets including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and reptiles
• Offer ample exercise via walks, backyard, or indoor play as needed
• Feed pets and provide fresh water when required
• Administer medications as directed
• Relay daily updates and communications to clients through the company's app
• Coordinate effectively with the back-office team

Qualifications

• Ability to safely walk, play with, and handle pets
• Experience with animals preferred, though training will be available
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Customer service background is advantageous
• Must possess own reliable transportation and smartphone as work occurs at clients’ residences and outdoors

Compensation

• Dog walking sessions are compensated between $15 and $30 per walk, inclusive of tips, depending on duration
• Overnight pet sitting (“Bed & Biscuit”) is paid at a flat rate of $75 per night

Additional Information
