Role overview
Australian Unity is hiring an AIN / Care Companion for Sienna Grange in Port Macquarie. This role is centered on providing day-to-day support, meaningful companionship, and a warm residential experience for older people. Work arrangement and roster
This is a permanent position with both part-time and full-time options available. The advertised rosters are Monday to Friday only, with day and afternoon shifts available.
- Day shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm
Pay and employment conditions
The base pay starts from $37.32 per hour, with superannuation and penalties applied where relevant. The role offers stable rosters, and additional Flex-Up shifts may be available to increase earnings. Paid training and induction are included.

Key duties
The role involves assisting residents with everyday care needs and offering companionship throughout the day. You will also work closely with residents, families, and colleagues to build trust and maintain a supportive environment. A strong focus is placed on safety and adherence to health and wellbeing procedures.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Ageing, or have completed the first year of a nursing degree. A current NDIS worker check is preferred, or the willingness to obtain one is required. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza, and must have unrestricted working rights. Visa sponsorship is not available.
