Overview
Durham District School Board is hiring a permanent teacher for a Grade 5/6 classroom in Scugog, Ontario. This role is focused on creating a welcoming, supportive learning space where students can grow academically and personally.

What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, curriculum-aligned, and supportive of student achievement.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Maintain a classroom culture that is positive, respectful, and inclusive for every learner.
- Work closely with fellow staff, families, and the wider community to strengthen learning outcomes.
- Adjust teaching strategies and classroom materials to address different learning needs.

Compensation
The salary range for this permanent elementary teaching role is $53,352 to $119,967 per year. Pay placement depends on QECO rating and teaching experience, and compensation will be adjusted pro rata to match the 1.0 FTE assignment.
