Role Overview

Popmenu is hiring a People Ops Generalist to act as a key operational partner for the People Team. This role oversees benefits administration, vendor coordination, HR operations, compliance, and employee support, while keeping the human side of every process front and center. The ideal candidate is hands-on, grounded in strong HR practices, comfortable handling complex leave matters, and eager to contribute to culture-building activities.

Talent Management and Engagement

In this position, you will help keep a pulse on the organization by supporting performance, development, and engagement efforts across the company.

  • Assist with quarterly review cycles and development programs for high-potential employees.
  • Work with managers to support underperforming team members and improve performance outcomes.
  • Contribute to talent initiatives that create measurable impact for the business.
  • Help ensure both Atlanta-based and remote employees feel connected, supported, and engaged.

People Operations and Administration

You will manage core employee lifecycle processes and keep daily People Ops activities accurate, organized, and compliant.

  • Handle onboarding, offboarding, role updates, and employee records across the full employee journey.
  • Maintain data accuracy in the HRIS and related systems.
  • Keep employee policies, procedures, and handbook content current.
  • Support compliance reporting, audits, and required documentation.
  • Act as a main contact for employee questions about benefits, policies, leave, and People Ops processes.
  • Guide managers and employees through routine employee relations matters and help strengthen related systems and workflows.
  • Assist with investigations, documentation, and issue resolution when needed.
  • Support accommodation and leave administration in coordination with external vendors and legal guidance.

Culture and Team Member Experience

This role also helps preserve and strengthen Popmenu’s culture through thoughtful onboarding and engagement programs.

  • Lead onboarding experiences that are smooth, welcoming, and culture-focused.
  • Create and support team events and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote the company’s core values in everyday People Operations work.
  • Contribute to organizational growth through culture-building efforts.

Benefits Administration

You will serve as the primary owner for employee benefits programs and related compliance activities.

  • Manage insurance, FSA/HSA, voluntary, and wellness benefits with brokers and carriers.
  • Lead annual open enrollment planning, communications, testing, and execution.
  • Perform regular audits of benefit enrollments, deductions, invoices, and eligibility files.
  • Maintain compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other relevant requirements.
  • Manage leave programs in line with legal obligations and timelines.
  • Review benefits usage and costs, then recommend ways to improve offerings and control spending.
  • Resolve escalated benefits issues with brokers and carriers.

Process Improvement and Reporting

The role includes finding better ways to work, using data responsibly, and improving operational efficiency.

  • Continuously review and refine People Ops workflows, systems, and administrative processes.
  • Use HR data and metrics to spot trends and support decision-making without losing sight of the people behind the numbers.
  • Develop tools and approaches that reduce manual work and improve consistency across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support special projects tied to employee experience, compliance, and operational excellence.

Vendor Management

You will be the main contact for People Operations vendors and will help ensure strong service delivery.

  • Manage relationships with benefits brokers, insurance carriers, wellness partners, and leave administrators.
  • Track service expectations, renewals, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate vendor implementations, system upgrades, and annual reviews.
  • Monitor vendor performance and suggest improvements that strengthen both employee experience and operational efficiency.
