The People Operations team helps the company achieve its objectives by supporting employees and managing core HR functions. The company is looking for a People Operations Generalist to coordinate key human resources activities such as onboarding, HR reporting, performance management, and employee engagement, while maintaining compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Organization Development and is based onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle everyday HR operations and provide support to employees.
  • Keep employee files and HR systems current, accurate, and confidential.
  • Lead new hire orientation sessions.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities across teams and locations to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify recurring trends to help improve the employee experience.
  • Work with senior HR leadership on retention-focused initiatives.
  • Assist with performance management, including coordination of performance improvement plans, proper documentation, timing, and consistent process execution.
  • Help organize engagement, wellbeing, and recognition efforts at the site level in partnership with leaders.
  • Coordinate people-focused communications such as onboarding announcements, organization updates, and content for town halls and internal communications.
  • Collect feedback and share insights with People Operations leaders to improve programs, processes, and the overall employee experience.
  • Take part in disciplinary actions and conflict resolution when needed.
  • Support visa and work authorization activities with the VP of People Operations, including document tracking and record maintenance.
  • Maintain executive profiles.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Help reinforce company culture across the organization.
  • Monitor social media channels for employee feedback and suggest responses that align with the company brand.
  • Build and update the People Operations Hub with current procedures, policies, forms, and process documentation.
  • Review HR policies and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in human resources.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, and delegate when appropriate.
  • Comfort working with HRIS and talent management platforms, or ability to learn them quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • SHRM-CP certification or HR coursework is considered an advantage.
