Role overview
Reporting to the Director of People Operations, this role is focused on keeping the People function running smoothly through a mix of hands-on administration, process execution, and HR technology ownership. The position serves as the main contact and system administrator for the HRIS, manages payroll from start to finish, improves workflows and reporting, and supports recruiting using modern HR tools.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will maintain HR systems, support employee needs, and help strengthen internal operations across the employee lifecycle.
- Own the HRIS as the go-to administrator and product expert, including setup, issue resolution, training users, and conducting routine data checks.
- Design, refine, and manage automated HRIS workflows that improve efficiency across employee processes.
- Run payroll end to end with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local rules.
- Prepare and distribute regular and ad hoc HR and payroll reports, then analyze the results to support informed decisions.
- Serve as the main contact for employees with questions about policies, pay, procedures, and benefits.
- Support onboarding, employee movement, leave administration, and offboarding to ensure a smooth employee experience.
- Assist with administration of benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) plans.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement and culture programs such as GLOBO Gives Back, Wellness Month, and recognition initiatives.
- Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition to support sourcing, scheduling, screening, and candidate movement through the hiring funnel.
- Use recruiting systems such as ATS platforms, AI-assisted sourcing tools, and candidate CRM tools to improve hiring efficiency.
- Work with AI and automation tools to increase productivity and improve routine HR operations, drafting, and execution.
- Draft and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and employee communications, while reviewing practices for compliance updates.
- Handle sensitive employee and business information with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Communicate clearly with management, employees, and independent contractors through Slack, email, and direct conversation.
- Take on special projects, compliance audits, and other initiatives assigned by People Management.
Requirements
This role calls for a highly organized HR professional with strong system, payroll, and recruiting support experience, plus comfort with modern technology.
- Hands-on HRIS administration experience, ideally with Paylocity or a similarly robust platform, including workflow building and system optimization.
- Direct experience managing payroll independently.
- Comfort using current recruiting technology, ATS platforms, and AI-enabled tools for operational efficiency.
- Background supporting recruiting workflows and candidate pipelines.
- Strong customer service orientation, exceptional attention to detail, and solid problem-solving ability.
- Ability to move between administrative execution and process/technology improvement work.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- College-level study in business, administration, human resources, logistics, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of administration experience is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of human resources experience required.
- HR certification, or a plan to obtain one, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac operating systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a decentralized environment without relying on direct authority.
- Strong organizational skills, integrity, initiative, accountability, and follow-through.
- Ability to interpret business needs and provide practical operational guidance.
- Broad awareness of current and emerging technology practices.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
- Strong service mindset and genuine interest in the company and its work.
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
- Must be willing to complete any requested background checks.
- Fluency in English is required.

- Commitment to learning, self-development, and supporting others.
- Open-minded, growth-oriented approach to change and challenge.
- Strong customer focus and ability to identify and address stakeholder needs.
