About the role
TALA is a fast-growing activewear and athleisure brand founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley. Built around a strong organic social community and a digital-first, multichannel model, the company has expanded its retail presence with two London stores opened in 2025 at Carnaby Street and Westfield White City. This role supports the wider business at an exciting stage of growth and community building.
As People & Culture Coordinator, you will report to the People & Culture Manager and act as the first contact for people-related questions across Head Office and Retail. The position blends core People Operations responsibilities with creative work on internal communications, employee engagement, and culture-led events that help shape the TALA employee experience.
People operations
- Support the full employee journey, from onboarding through to offboarding, while keeping the experience smooth and positive.
- Prepare and run monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Draft employment contracts and other supporting documents.
- Keep the HRIS accurate and up to date, with a focus on data quality and compliance.
- Coordinate employee benefits and respond to related queries.
- Compile monthly people reports and provide insights for the wider business.
- Conduct exit interviews.
Internal communications
- Create engaging internal updates that reflect TALA’s tone of voice and help keep teams informed and connected.
Internal events
- Manage the ‘Moments That Matter’ calendar and ensure important milestones are acknowledged throughout the year.
- Plan and deliver monthly team socials.
- Coordinate the annual Summer Party and Christmas Party with creativity and energy.
Talent
- Work with hiring managers to develop role profiles.
- Publish vacancies on job boards and track candidate pipelines.
- Review applications and organise interviews to maintain a smooth candidate journey.
Other responsibilities
- Assist the People & Culture Manager in delivering people projects.
- Maintain and refresh people policies and guidelines so they remain consistent and compliant.
- Provide workplace support as needed.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a People Coordinator role or a similar people operations position.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle large amounts of data accurately.
- Confident handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Experience using an HRIS; familiarity with HiBob is an advantage.
- A creative mindset and enthusiasm for turning ideas into engaging communications and events.
