Role Overview

Jetstar is seeking a People Advisor to join its Head Office People team. This role partners with leaders in Corporate client groups and Operations Delivery, working closely with the Senior People Manager, Corporate to provide practical and high-impact HR support in a fast-moving environment.

The position is suited to someone who enjoys working closely with others, handling a wide variety of people matters, and contributing to culture, performance and organisational effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the main People Advisor for leaders across the assigned client group, offering pragmatic and solution-oriented support.
  • Coach people leaders through performance management and conduct-related issues with confidence and sound judgement.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of annual people programs, including performance reviews, objective setting, remuneration reviews, talent management, succession planning and engagement surveys.
  • Support employee and leader processes across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Contribute to People team projects and change initiatives across the organisation.
  • Coordinate HR activities that support business-aligned people initiatives such as team offsites, town halls and other engagement events.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve the employee experience, then help implement those improvements.

What You Need

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably supporting corporate employees.
  • Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, remuneration and exits.
  • Confidence in advising leaders on performance and conduct matters.
  • Experience assisting with talent reviews, engagement activities and annual people processes.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent organisational ability and a strong eye for detail to manage deadlines accurately.
  • Comfort working with data, including interpreting survey results and metrics into practical insights.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with a focus on solutions and delivery.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities and handle complex issues.
