Job description
About the organization
Skidkinderopvang is a forward-looking and professional childcare provider in North Drenthe. The organization offers day care, playgroups for toddlers, and after-school care across 34 locations in the municipalities of Aa & Hunze, Assen, and Tynaarlo. In these same areas, it also provides home-based childcare.
Its 300 employees work with genuine commitment to children’s development, guiding them through a balanced approach of head, heart, and hands. Staff are given the time and freedom to build meaningful relationships with each child and discover talents together. The work environment is designed to feel warm, personal, and homely across all locations.
Role overview
For the location in Annen, Skidkinderopvang is looking for an enthusiastic pedagogical professional for after-school care. The role involves working 20 to 24 hours per week, mainly in the afternoons from Monday through Friday. The position is based at the Eki7 and Ekiwoek sites.
The salary follows the Dutch childcare collective agreement, scale 6, with a gross monthly range of €2,641 to €3,630 based on a 36-hour workweek.
What the role involves
You will help children grow by bringing energy, creativity, and a positive presence to the group. The team values people who like to contribute ideas and help create a pleasant, inspiring group space where every child feels at ease.
At Eki7, you will support a lively BSO group for children aged 7 to 12, with capacity for up to 20 children. The site is located above the vvAnnen canteen and offers plenty of room for movement and fun. Activities are varied and chosen together with the children, including sports, games, active play, crafting, and woodworking.
Ekiwoek serves younger children aged 5 to 7 and can accommodate 30 children per day part. In addition to after-school care, this location also provides before-school and lunch-time care, offering children a familiar place to relax and develop.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate is flexible, creative, and has a good sense of humor. You enjoy working with children and colleagues, and you bring genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s development in everything you do.
You like thinking along with the team, planning enjoyable activities such as sports and play, and you pay close attention to hygiene and safety. A curious, open-minded attitude and a willingness to try new things are also important.
You must have a completed MBO-level qualification that makes you eligible to work with children in after-school care, such as Pedagogisch Medewerker, Sport en Bewegen, or Onderwijsassistent. If you are unsure whether your diploma qualifies, the employer refers candidates to the diploma check for childcare professionals.
What is offered
You will join a lively and dynamic organization with an enthusiastic and committed team. The employer offers a one-year contract with the intention of converting it into a permanent agreement afterward.
There is room to contribute your own ideas, and you may take part in various training opportunities, including pediatric first aid and Gordon training. Employment terms and pay are in line with the CAO Kinderopvang. In addition, you receive an 8% year-end bonus, a pension arrangement through PFZW, and a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer.

Only candidates who meet the stated job profile will be invited to apply. Other applications will not be considered.
