Payroll Specialist - Fully Remote

Role Overview

This is a fully remote payroll position for an Australia-based team. The role suits a detail-oriented payroll professional with strong Australian payroll knowledge who can manage the full payroll cycle with accuracy, compliance, and a smooth employee experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage the complete monthly payroll process, including collecting, validating, processing, and finalising payroll data.
• Run off-cycle payrolls and produce related reports when required.
• Keep payroll documentation and records accurate for audit and compliance purposes.
• Answer employee payroll questions quickly and professionally through the ticketing platform.
• Monitor changes in payroll law and tax rules and work with the team to keep processes up to date.
• Work with third-party payroll providers and government agencies on social security, pension, and related administration.
• Safeguard confidential payroll information and handle sensitive data responsibly.
• Support broader global payroll projects and initiatives as the business expands.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years of payroll experience in Australia, with a strong understanding of local compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive, self-managed approach with the confidence to work independently and perform well under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Good Microsoft Office skills; experience with MYOB PayGlobal or Humanforce is helpful but not essential.
