Job description
About the company
Raisin operates a leading global marketplace for savings and investment products. Established in 2012, the FinTech company links customers with banks across the EU, the UK, and the US, helping consumers access improved interest rates while giving banks a broader refinancing source. Its long-term goal is to make savings and investing accessible without barriers and to help open up a global market valued at 160 trillion euros.
The company has a workforce of more than 800 people representing over 75 nationalities. The platform currently manages more than 80 billion euros in assets for over one million investors, who have earned more than 5 billion euros in returns.
Team
You would join a four-person payroll team that manages German and international payroll for multiple legal entities. The group partners closely with outside payroll vendors to ensure processing is both accurate and compliant, and works regularly with People Operations on employee-related matters. As part of Finance, this is a compact but essential function that helps keep business operations running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Gather, organize, and carefully validate monthly payroll inputs for different entities so that external providers receive complete and accurate information.
- Serve as the main operational contact for payroll vendors, social security agencies, and tax authorities, handling questions while keeping to strict processing deadlines.
- Address employee payroll questions and work through discrepancies quickly and professionally.
- Assist the Accounting team with payroll account reconciliations and related reporting.
- Keep payroll process documentation up to date and improve internal workflows and collaboration setups between HR, Finance, and external providers.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of practical payroll coordination experience, including regular work with external payroll providers and effective data transfer processes.
- Solid knowledge of German payroll, tax, and social security rules; exposure to international payroll, such as Spain or Italy, is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while staying in close, proactive contact with HR and Finance stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with HR systems such as Personio and project tools such as Jira is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
Benefits
- €2,000 annual learning and development budget plus four dedicated training days each year.
- Flexible working hours, the option to work from home, and 30 days of leave.
- Company pension support through a German occupational pension scheme, with a 20% employer contribution.
- Subsidized access to Urban Sports Club, including support of more than €20 per month.
- Monthly €25 subsidy for the Deutschland Ticket.
- JobRad bike leasing with tax advantages and coverage of monthly insurance costs.
- Office snacks, fresh fruit every day, and drinks provided onsite.
- Relocation support may be available for candidates moving from another city or country.
