Role overview

The Payroll & Reward Specialist will join the People Team and take ownership of payroll administration as well as support for compensation, benefits, and savings programs. The role calls for experience across multiple jurisdictions, including international payroll, along with strong administrative capability and a customer-first approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Run full-cycle payroll operations for both international and U.S. employees, ensuring accurate pay, correct earnings recording, proper wage classification, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Check payroll calculations and time-and-attendance data for accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain adherence to all relevant payroll laws and regulations.
  • Carry out validations for time and attendance records.
  • Provide responsive support to employees and outside vendors, and escalate payroll or benefits issues when needed.
  • Review and validate Records of Employment submissions.
  • Respond to employee questions and act as the connection point between employees and benefit or payroll providers.
  • Handle processing for new hires, terminations, and leave-of-absence cases.
  • Prepare required third-party reporting.
  • Support year-end payroll and reward activities.
  • Assist with the administration and communication of reward and benefits programs.
  • Contribute to compensation analysis to support hiring needs and organizational design work.
  • Help complete external HR surveys and prepare related analysis.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant payroll experience; multi-state and international payroll exposure is considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, especially Kronos or ADP, plus working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Slack.
  • Prior ATS experience, including systems such as Hibob, is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal ability.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information.
  • Strong analytical thinking and comfort solving complex issues.
  • Solid technical understanding and the ability to operate integrated HRIS/database systems effectively.
  • Self-driven attitude, collaborative mindset, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Highly organized with careful attention to detail.
