Position overview
An opportunity is available for an ASO2-level Payroll Officer in Adelaide, supporting a busy payroll function within a fast-moving environment. The role is full time, requires onsite attendance, and is available for an immediate start.

Role summary
In this position, you will support payroll administration across a range of processes, including onboarding changes, employee record updates, superannuation, deductions, tax, transfers, and end-of-employment actions. You will also help ensure payroll information is processed accurately and on time.
Key duties
- Handle payroll files and assist with day-to-day payroll operations.
- Enter and maintain master data and timesheet details with a high level of accuracy.
- Address payroll problems that require careful investigation and a professional approach.
- Route specialist queries to the correct person or team when needed.
- Work effectively as part of a cooperative, goal-focused team.
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate will have payroll experience or a background in a high-volume administrative role. Previous experience in a similar position will be viewed favourably. A customer service mindset, resilience in deadline-driven settings, and strong time management are important. Familiarity with Chris21 and Valeo is desirable. Strong capability in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word, is also required, along with accurate data entry, clear communication, and a strong eye for detail.
Mandatory requirements
A National Police Clearance is compulsory for this role.
