Role overview
This position is for a payroll professional with a strong interest in international employment. The role begins by supporting the German payroll specialist in delivering outsourced payroll services for Germany. You will communicate with clients about the German payroll environment and help ensure a smooth, reliable payroll experience.
Over time, you will help connect systems and processes, guide colleagues, and act as an important link between HR and Finance operations. You will also advise on how foreign HR policies can be adapted into compliant employment arrangements for staff hired in Germany. In this client-facing payroll provider role, accuracy, compliance with local law, and strong collaboration are essential.

What the role involves
- Support the German payroll specialist with outsourced payroll processing for German clients.
- Explain the German payroll landscape to customers and help provide a seamless service.
- Help connect systems and internal workflows, and train colleagues where needed.
- Serve as a bridge between HR and Finance operations.
- Advise clients on adapting foreign HR policies to German employment relationships.
- Ensure employees are paid correctly while meeting local legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and customers to maintain Parakar’s quality standards.
What the role requires
- A relevant bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and mindset.
- Prior exposure to German payroll rules, preferably at least 2 years in a Payroll Specialist role or a similar position.
- Strong professional fluency in both German and English, written and spoken, at C1 level or above.
- Experience with DATEV Payroll software is a significant advantage.
- Experience handling payroll across multiple European countries is also a strong plus.
- A willingness to learn about HR, employment, legal, payroll, tax, and immigration rules in an international outsourcing environment.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to manage several tasks at once.
Compensation and benefits
- Monthly gross salary from €3,750 to €5,100, based on experience.
- Potential year-end bonus of up to 10%.
