Calm now supports more than 3,500 organizations and reaches over 42 million covered lives through Calm Health. The company has been named a TIME100 Most Influential Company and recognized by Fast Company as one of Brands That Matter.
What This Role Is About
Calm is hiring a seasoned, adaptable designer to join its Partnerships team and support the growth of product and distribution partnerships around the world. This position plays an important part in helping the company scale through high-impact work across Business Development, Brand Licensing, and Partner Success. You will work closely with Business Development Managers, Partnerships Marketing, and Strategic Partner Managers to shape polished, brand-aligned design solutions that help communicate partnership value clearly and persuasively.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and refresh executive-level pitch decks for partner offerings such as Calm for Brands and Calm Offers, as well as for verticals including Travel and Connected Health.
- Create tailored presentation materials for major flagship partners.
- Produce visual frameworks and mockups for in-app experiences, including co-branded partner pages and Calm integrations inside partner products or environments, such as a TV interface or a connected car.
- Design B2B marketing collateral such as long- and short-form case studies, data-driven infographics, LinkedIn content, and related assets.
- Support the Partnerships website and design invitations for industry events.
Brand Licensing
- Conceptualize and mock up licensed and co-branded products, including packaging that incorporates Calm’s brand marks.
- Create visual merchandising concepts for retail display and shelf presentation using branded product mockups.
- Build lifestyle imagery and usage scenarios that show how branded products fit into everyday life and the benefits they offer.
- Develop style guide materials and partner-facing guidance to protect brand consistency.
Partner Success
- Produce assets for active partnerships, including Partner Page artwork, logo lockups, and phone mockups.
- Create content for blog posts, newsletters, social media, and lifecycle email campaigns.
- Design external-facing sales and account-management collateral such as GTM decks, Quarterly Business Review decks, and renewal pitch decks.
What You Bring
You should have a standout portfolio that demonstrates strong fundamentals in design, especially pitch decks, product mockups, and layout. The role calls for advanced fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, along with the ability to build visual systems and story-led presentations that make complex partnership opportunities easy to understand. You’ll need experience creating assets for both digital environments, like app UI mockups and social content, and physical formats, like packaging and retail merchandising. Strong cross-functional communication skills are important, since you’ll collaborate with teams across Marketing, Product, and external partners. You must be able to manage several projects at once in a fast-moving setting while staying aligned with Calm’s brand standards. Calm also values designers who can use AI tools to improve workflow efficiency while keeping creative judgment and originality at the center of the work.
Minimum Experience
The role requires at least 5 years of relevant design experience.
Preferred Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in tech, wellness, or another fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Strong illustration ability is welcome, though not mandatory.
- Prior work in mental health is beneficial.
- Experience in a remote-first organization is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
Calm uses a location-based pay structure. For this position, the base salary range is $95,000 to $148,000 depending on geography, experience, skills, and other qualifications. Not every candidate will qualify for the top end of the range. In addition to base pay, the role is eligible for equity, a comprehensive benefits package, a 401(k), and flexible time off.
