About TerraTern
TerraTern is a fast-scaling global talent mobility platform that helps people move and work across borders with less friction. The team supports relocation with visa guidance, job search assistance, and practical resources designed to make the immigration journey clearer, smoother, and more dependable.
Role Overview
This position goes beyond traditional relationship management. The core objective is to help build the market by uncovering growth opportunities, connecting with employers, handling partner expectations, and creating enduring strategic alliances that can support talent mobility at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee employer partnerships across Germany, with an emphasis on opening opportunities for talent mobility.
- Research and prioritize target employers, map the relevant decision-makers, and run outreach campaigns to create a strong partnership pipeline.
- Build a solid grasp of employer hiring requirements, skill shortages, and workforce planning needs in the German market.
- Present TerraTern’s services in a way that aligns with employer goals, compliance requirements, and hiring outcomes.
- Handle the entire partnership journey, from prospecting and first contact through relationship development, negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing account stewardship.
- Own partner communication and ensure interactions remain timely, professional, and trust-building throughout the relationship.
- Work closely with recruitment, operations, delivery, and leadership teams to keep partner commitments moving smoothly.
- Monitor market shifts, competitor activity, employer behavior, and hiring trends to refine outreach and partnership strategy.
- Represent TerraTern confidently in employer meetings, business conversations, networking settings, and other market-facing engagements.
- Serve as the link between employers, candidates, and internal teams to help create a positive relocation and onboarding experience.
- Support placed talent during the initial settling-in period by sharing practical local guidance and market-specific insights.
- Improve the candidate experience by helping them stay informed, supported, and confident about the move.
- Maintain an organized partnership pipeline and report on progress, conversion metrics, and account status.
- Help expand the Germany market by building repeatable partnership processes and durable employer relationships.
Eligibility
Applicants should already be based in Germany and have strong firsthand exposure to the German market.
Ideal candidates bring experience in partnerships, employer relations, business development, account management, or market expansion, along with a strong understanding of the German employment landscape. Backgrounds involving cross-border talent mobility, recruitment partnerships, mobility solutions, staffing, or workforce services are especially relevant.
You should be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, communicating clearly and structurally, and working with commercial awareness. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and consultative selling abilities are important, as is the ability to balance strategy with execution in a fast-moving environment. The role also calls for someone who is self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple relationships and priorities at once.
Candidates should have solid business acumen and be able to connect market demand with partnership solutions. Being based in Berlin or willing to work closely with the Berlin market is required. A background in employer-facing roles in Germany or broader European markets is preferred, along with exposure to talent mobility, global hiring, international recruitment, or mobility programs. German language proficiency is preferred depending on the employer network being targeted.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, International Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in employer-facing roles within Germany or wider European markets.
- Exposure to talent mobility, international hiring, global recruitment, or mobility programs.
- German language proficiency is an advantage, depending on the employer audience being targeted.
- Understanding of how partnerships can drive revenue growth, market access, and customer retention.
