Job description
About the role
As a Partner Success Manager, you will help accelerate the expansion of accounting and bookkeeping partners across New Zealand. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor to firms, guiding them to get the most value from the Xero ecosystem through the right strategy and education. Your work will support partners in growing revenue while improving how they serve their small business clients.
You will also help reduce churn and spot opportunities for plan upgrades, ensuring partners and their clients have access to the technology they need to run and grow a successful business.
Team and working style
You will be part of a high-performing team of eight and report to the Manager of Partner Success. Collaboration is central to the team’s way of working. The role involves close partnership with the Partner Consulting teams so that service remains smooth and partner feedback is continuously shared and acted upon.
Primary focus areas
- Build and deliver territory plans that drive stronger adoption of Business Edition plans and connected payment services.
- Organise and run events that help partners understand how the Xero Partner programme works and the value it offers.
- Strengthen online engagement within practices to increase active usage and encourage adoption of related products.
- Use Salesforce to track relationship health, monitor risk signals, and act early where issues may emerge.
Work arrangement
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Auckland. The role follows a hybrid setup, combining remote flexibility with planned in-office boost days for team connection and collaboration.
What we are looking for
- A strong history of meeting sales goals, ideally in fintech or accounting software environments.
- The ability to build immediate trust and maintain strong long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Confidence and energy when speaking in public, including at partner events and webinars.
- Self-direction, initiative, and the ability to work independently while delivering strong results.
- Genuine interest in making a positive impact and curiosity about the growing online accounting space.
Application mindset
The employer values skills, enthusiasm, and the fresh perspective you can bring to the team. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if their background does not match every requirement exactly.
