Job description

About the Company

Optimyzed Movement & Recovery serves active people with a premium, community-focused approach to health. The brand combines prevention and treatment through manual therapy, restorative movement, recovery tools, and lifestyle guidance so clients can move with greater ease, bounce back faster, and stay engaged in the activities they enjoy. Its long-term aim is to become Durham’s leading destination for movement health and proactive athletic wellness.

Role Overview

This part-time freelance opportunity is for a creative, metrics-minded Social Media and Content Manager who can strengthen brand visibility, oversee organic social channels, and improve paid social performance. The position goes beyond scheduling posts; it is about acting as a growth partner who can create compelling, high-energy content within a wellness environment and turn that attention into qualified leads and recurring monthly memberships.

Core Work

  • Plan, write, and produce engaging short-form videos and static creative that communicate the company’s movement-health philosophy and its distinct care approach.
  • Manage the organic content calendar, publish consistently, and interact with the local audience to help build a loyal online community.
  • Run paid social campaigns, monitor results, refine targeting, and adjust keyword and ad-copy strategy to improve direct-response lead generation.
  • Keep all visual and written output aligned with brand standards and messaging.

Candidate Profile

The right person will have deep, hands-on experience managing social media and content in wellness, fitness, boutique gym, or sports performance settings. They should understand paid social platforms, keyword strategy, and the ad-copy techniques that support efficient spending and stronger conversions. Being based in or near the Raleigh-Durham area is preferred so the person can collaborate locally and capture photo/video content in person. The ideal candidate can tell stories in a way that makes movement health feel practical, inspiring, and valuable to everyday active people.

Application Details

Applicants should share a portfolio or examples of wellness or fitness accounts they have managed, a short summary of their experience with paid campaigns and keyword optimization, and their current freelance rates along with availability.
