About the School Division
Peace Wapiti Public School Division serves around 6,100 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 across 34 schools and ranks among the major employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River area. Role Overview
Beaverlodge Regional High School is looking for someone who thrives in a student-centered, cooperative setting. This part-time Library Assistant role is scheduled for 30 hours per week and reports directly to the Principal. The position supports a flexible, inclusive library environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and personalized learning for students and staff, both in the library and in classroom settings.
Experience and Background
- Prior work in an educational environment is an advantage.
- Exposure to library operations, including cataloguing and filing practices, is preferred.
- Previous experience in an automated library or similar setting is also an asset.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that demonstrate the necessary knowledge and capability may be accepted.

- Comfort using both Google Workspace and Microsoft tools is required.

Key Duties
- Support students in a variety of ways and through different formats.
- Help teachers and students locate information and learning resources.
- Handle circulation tasks and keep school library resources current and organized.
- Provide research and resource assistance to students and staff.
- Assist with other school needs as directed by school administration.
- Follow district administrative procedures relevant to the position.

Employment Conditions
A current Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, dated within the last six months, is required as a condition of employment. Salary is based on education and experience, with a pay range of $20.66 to $27.20 per hour. Terms and conditions of employment are set out in the applicable agreement.
