Role Overview
The Curator acts as a salesperson and is often the first team member customers meet in the store. The role focuses on building excitement around FLUENT products, guiding patients toward the right solutions, and helping them understand how to use the products safely. You will review a doctor’s recommendation, work with store teammates to match patient needs to appropriate products, and convert visitors into loyal customers through effective selling and a strong service experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent service while working toward or surpassing sales targets.
- Grow sales for the dispensary, the team, and yourself over time.
- Create positive customer experiences through frequent in-person interaction.
- Use available tools and information to assess customer health needs and product fit.
- Escalate unresolved matters to the right supervisor.
- Support deliveries in the role of Health Educator.
- Complete inventory counts and sales reporting.
- Document each customer interaction and any follow-up action taken.
- Track customer issues that need more research and follow up on them.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the product guide and the benefits of medical cannabis.
- Coordinate with the Director of Retail Operations, General Manager, and/or Customer Service Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Sales experience is required.
- Working knowledge of MS Office is required.
- Ability to manage multiple requests at once without losing concentration.
- Strong organization, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Comfort interacting frequently with people in person, by phone, and by email.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work proactively.
- Willingness to work long hours and frequent weekends.
- Minimum of an Associate degree.
- At least 1 year of sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Dispensary experience is an advantage.
- Must be at least 21 years old as required by state law.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly uses standard office tools such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and iPads or similar devices. The role involves extended standing, walking, reaching, speaking, hearing, and reviewing information on screens for long periods. The employee may occasionally need to lift or move moderate weight, generally under 25 pounds. Consistent attendance is important for this position.
Hours and Schedule
This role typically involves long shifts and frequent weekend work.
